Big Names Support Devon’s Air Ambulances at Gidleigh Park
Two very special events are to take place at Visit Britain’s Hotel of the Year, Gidleigh Park Hotel, Chagford, later this year. This is with celebrities including two Michelin Star Executive Chef Michael Caines MBE, the Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe MP and actress Juliet Mills attending in support of the Devon Air Ambulance Tr
ust.
Celebrity Chef Michael Caines (right), on home territory, will be creating a fabulous two Michelin Star lunch with canapés to begin and coffee and petit fours to finish, for £50 per person. This will include a personal explanation by Michael of the dishes of the day, with the after lunch entertainment being provided by speaker Ann Widdecombe (below left).
Guests preferring dinner pr
epared and hosted by Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park will be £75 per person, also to include canapés, coffee and petit fours, with internationally acclaimed actress Juliet Mills providing the after dinner speech. (below)
To make the most of a special evening, Gidleigh Park are kindly offering a very special event rate to stay overnight. The rate for double occupancy per room is £200.00: this includes early morning tea or coffee and newspaper in the room, cooked or continental breakfast and VAT. Rates for the suites and
cottage are available on request.
Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust said ‘We are thankful to the Gidleigh Park Hotel and Michael Caines for their support of the charity, which is very much appreciated. We are also extremely grateful to both Ann Widdecombe and Juliet Mills for donating the gift of time to come along, as they are both extremely busy people!
She added ‘This event is truly great value for money, as anyone who has ever eaten or stayed at the hotel will confirm. There will also be various ways throughout this event where guests can continue to make a difference to Devon Air Ambulance Trust, for example through our auction, or perhaps by making a personal donation’.
‘Events such as this would not be possible without help from our corporate supporters. This event is no exception. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Rebecca Pope/St James’s Place Partnership, Cathedral Financial Management, Private Cellar and Paxton and Whitfield at Bath.’
The Devon Air Ambulance Trust is an essential life saving service, however being independent of Government and National Lottery funding, the £4 million needed annually to keep both helicopters airborne comes from the communities, businesses and friends of Devon.
