Scale new heights for Devon Air Ambulance and sign up to our Plymouth abseil
The Devon Air Ambulance Daring Descent is back: this time we challenge you to scale The Plymouth Citadel…
Take on the coastal challenge with our intrepid abseil and raise money to save lives.
Step up to the edge of Plymouth Citadel and take in breathtaking views across the Plymouth coast. Then feel the adrenaline kick in as you abseil down this iconic landmark, and feel great about helping us to raise vital funds while you descend..
There is a £150 Fundraising target for each participant.
Eligibility & safety information
Just because it’s daring, it doesn’t mean that your descent doesn’t need to be safe!
To participate you must:
- be over 14 years old
- be medically fit
- not be pregnant
- seek medical advice should you have any illness or condition that may inhibit your abseil
- maximum weight of 140 kg
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult spectator.
Please be aware that you take part in the Plymouth abseil at your own risk: adventurous activities carry a level of risk and can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging.
By signing up to the abseil, you confirm that all named participants are medically fit and able to take part. First aid will be given if needed in an emergency.
All participants must follow safety rules and behave responsibly. If anyone is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behaving inappropriately, or putting others at risk, they will not be allowed to take part and no refund will be given.
We have a contingency date of 24th October in place should the event need to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Don’t miss your chance to take part in one of the South West’s most exciting fundraising challenges. Secure your place on our Plymouth abseil today, conquer Plymouth Citadel, and help Devon Air Ambulance continue bringing critical care to people when every second counts.
