A double win in celebration and recognition of our research and retail teams.
The annual Awards of Excellence recognises the achievements across Air Ambulance charities
Devon Air Ambulance is proud to announce two outstanding achievements at this year’s Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) Awards of Excellence, held on Wednesday 3rd December at the Telford International Centre. The event brought together air ambulance charities from across the UK under the theme ‘Inspiring Each Other’, celebrating innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the sector.
IMPACT Team Triumphs in Innovation Category
Our IMPACT Team secured the prestigious Innovation of the Year award, recognising its groundbreaking work in post-collision research and emergency care. The team’s pioneering projects, including the internationally acclaimed Road Injury Chain of Survival and U-STEP OUT algorithm, have transformed global approaches to post-crash care, saving lives and setting new standards for emergency response.
Abby Lock Honoured for Outstanding Operational Support
In addition, Abby Lock, Manager of DAA’s Exmouth store, won the Operations Support Staff of the Year award. Abby’s leadership and creativity have revitalised her shop, driving record sales and fostering a culture of care and inclusion. Her proactive approach and commitment to excellence exemplify the values at the heart of Devon Air Ambulance.
On the charity’s double success, DAA Chief Executive, Greg Allen, said:
We are absolutely thrilled by these achievements. The IMPACT Team’s innovation is not only saving lives but shaping the future of emergency care worldwide. Abby’s dedication and leadership remind us that excellence happens in every aspect of the organisation. These awards reflect the passion, skill, and commitment of our incredible people, and I couldn’t be prouder.
