One team. One lifesaving mission.
We’re proud to introduce Base Crew, our collective name for everyone who volunteers with Devon Air Ambulance.
Whether you support us in our shops, help at events, lend your skills behind the scenes, or get involved in research and projects, you are all part of one team. Base Crew reflects what our volunteers do every day – supporting lifesaving missions from the ground, our bases, and the heart of our communities.
Alongside our regular volunteering roles, we’re also introducing Base Crew (Flex) for people who want to volunteer in a more flexible way, choosing when and how they help, with no fixed rota or regular commitment.
Take a look at our volunteer opportunities below to see how you could get involved. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, or you’re not sure where to start, you can apply using our volunteer application form. Once we receive your completed form, a member of our volunteer team will be in touch to talk through next steps.
Young volunteers
We are currently pausing applications for volunteers under the age of 18 while we review and develop our onboarding and support processes.
We greatly value the enthusiasm, time, and contribution that young volunteers bring to our organisation, as well as the important role volunteering can play in building confidence, skills, and future opportunities.
To ensure we can provide the best possible experience and support for both our young volunteers and our teams, we are taking some time to review and strengthen our approach before reopening applications. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming Under 18 volunteers again in the future.
