We’re now accepting applications for our London Marathon 2026 charity places and we’d love for you to join Team DAA.
Every successful applicant will be supported by our Fundraising Team:
- To help you achieve your minimal fundraising target of £2K, you will receive dedicated support between application and race day.
- You will receive training tips and a training plan from our running coaches at Run Fit Run Fast.
- You will receive a Devon Air Ambulance running vest to wear with pride on the day.
- There will also be representatives from Devon Air Ambulance cheering you on in person on the day itself!
Apply now to be part of something truly special.
Get in the running for 2026!
We do expect more applicants than we have spaces, so we cannot guarantee every applicant will be successful in securing one of the available spaces. Once we have evaluated applications we will be in touch as soon as possible to let you know the outcome of your application.
Applications are open until 23.59 on the 4th May 2025.
Please see the separate T & C’s of securing one of our charity spaces should you be a successful applicant
1. Minimum Sponsorship Pledge
By accepting a charity place, you commit to raising a minimum of £2,000 (excluding Gift Aid).
The full £2,000 must be raised and submitted to Devon Air Ambulance by 7th June 2026, 6 weeks after race day.
2. Registration Fee
There is no registration fee to secure your place
3. Fundraising Milestones
To help ensure you are on track, we ask that you meet the following fundraising milestones:
- 10% (£200) raised by [30th June 2025]
- 25% (£500) raised by [30th September 2025]
- 50% (£1,000) raised by [31st December 2025]
- 75% (£1,500) raised by [28th February 2026]
- 100% (£2,000) raised by [7th June 2026 – 6 weeks after race day]
We are on-hand to support you in hitting these targets. If we [the Devon Air Ambulance Fundraising team] feel insufficient effort is being made to fundraise, this may result in the withdrawal of your place.
4. Withdrawal and Deferral
If you need to withdraw from the event, you must notify Devon Air Ambulance immediately.
Deferral of your place to a future London Marathon is not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you withdraw after a certain point (e.g., once race registration has closed), you may still be required to meet your sponsorship target.
5. Use of Funds
All funds raised must be paid directly to Devon Air Ambulance.
Funds raised through your London Marathon place cannot be redirected to another charity or cause.
6. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old on the day of the London Marathon to take part using a Devon Air Ambulance charity place.
7. Non-transferability
Your charity place is non-transferable and cannot be given to another individual under any circumstances.
