Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the people of Devon and help save lives! It’s a great way to give something back to your local community by sparing as little as one hour a week.

Volunteers are crucial in helping us create a welcoming, friendly and accessible store; a great place for shoppers and donors to visit time and time again. If you have great communication skills, the ability to get along with people and enjoy being part of a friendly team in a very sociable, supportive environment, we want to hear from you! 

Tell us what your interests and future aspirations are, and we'll try and match you to the best role for you! It's very handy to have someone on the team who can spot an antique, repair jewellery or get creative with instore displays so do share with us your passions, skills and knowledge. 

What activities might you be involved in?

• Merchandising and display
• Preparing donations for sale
• Stock control, rotation and sorting
• Customer services and till operation
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe shopping/working environment

No experience is necessary as full training and an induction will be given. You don't need to be computer literate to join our team; there are volunteer opportunities for all.

When can I volunteer?

This is a flexible role to fit with your lifestyle and around other commitments. Whether you can offer one hour or one day, your time and support are hugely valuable. Our retail operating hours vary but most are 9-5 pm Monday to Saturday with some shops opening on Sundays & bank holidays. We are particularly keen to fill gaps on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
