Our first ever Cycle Challenge concludes with a celebration - see you at the finish line!
This September’s first ever Devon Cycle Challenge is an intrepid yet fun way to raise funds in support of our lifesaving service.
Whether you’ve chosen our beginner friendly 30 mile Explorer route, our 50 mile Heroic or you’re an experienced cyclist braving the 100 mile Legend, you are sure to be treated to some of Devon’s most stunning scenery along the way.
But what’s a cyclist to do once their ride is complete?
It’s only right that on the day, once you’ve completed what we know will be an unforgettable ride through some of East Devon and the Blackdown Hills’ most scenic spots and challenging courses, that we thank you for your sterling cycling efforts with a memorable celebration.
Each of these non-competitive cycling challenges ends at Winslade Event Village, and there you’ll be welcomed by a fanfare of riders and supporters cheering you on as you cross the finish line.
But that is not where the day ends. You’ll be keen not only to rest up, but also to chat with other cyclists, swap stories, compare rides – and perhaps even compare blisters! We’re laying on a family-friendly Event Village where we hope you’ll refuel with tasty food and take some well-earned time to rest, to socialise and browse the stalls.
And OK, while we know the real hard work is being done by you the cyclist, we think it’s only right your family and friends who’ve supported you every pedal of the way get to enjoy their day just as much – so we’re laying on activities for them too.
This is Devon Air Ambulance’s first official fundraising cycling challenge, and we’re really looking forward to seeing you there and celebrating all the hours of training many of you will be putting into preparing for this day.
