Fundraising dos and don'ts We love to receive your support, but do be aware that we cannot accept any liability for any fundraising activity or event you undertake. Be sure to check your event complies with health and safety regulations and stays within the law. If you need insurance for your event then make sure you have arranged this before your event. Not sure? Check the Government ‘can do’ guide. You’ll find all the information you need to think about when setting up your event, including information about safety, licenses and insurance. Rules about raffles and auctions If you’re running a raffle for longer than a day you’ll need to get a license from your local council. Search for your local council here. Promoting your raffle on Facebook Please note that due to Facebook rules and regulations, Devon Air Ambulance cannot support you in running an online raffle or auction via the social media channel. Please visit Facebook’s page terms, section III.E about promotions for full details. Good practice If you are raising funds for Devon Air Ambulance, do ensure you are familiar with the good practice set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Fundraising practice.
