THE ASA Agatha Christie Sea Swim is now open for entries here
Would you like to swim in the wake of the famous crime writer?  This is a one mile sea swim from Goodrington to Broadsands, in beautiful Torbay.  To find out more about this event click here. This event is raising funds for the BBC Radio Devon Air Ambulance Appeal.

Success Stories

Steuart Wimms is pictured with paramedic Helen Mackie.  We met Steuart at West Exe Technical College in Exeter, where he is Deputy Headmaster. The school chose to support us as their charity of the year and have recently presented us with £7,706!

Steuart had a terrible road traffic collision (rtc) in May 2008 when he was in a head-on collision with another vehicle on his side of the road and coming over the brow of a hill.  His seat belt and driver's airbag prevented him from going through the windscreen and probably saved his life, although he was trapped in the crushed car and unconscious for about 40-45 minutes.

Get Involved

There are many ways you can get involved and make a difference.

For example, you could make a one off or regular donation - and did you know if you are a UK Tax Payer that you can gift a further 28p in the £1 through Gift Aid without it costing you a single penny more?

It doesn't always have to be a monetary contribution though.  For example had you thought of putting on your own fundraising event? 

Or do you have time on your hands?  Why not donate the gift of time by becoming a volunteer? Pictured are just a few of our volunteers!

Recent Missions

We've been looking at ways that we can tell you about what the helicopter has been up to, and with the help of Google, we've come up with a solution! 

This website contains a mission map , which will be updated at the beginning of every day with the  missions flown the day  before.  

Some of the missions of course are slightly more unusual, and you'll be able to find more information about these types of missions as the months go on, in our news section.
