BBC Radio Devon Appeal Comes to an end
Wow - thank you so much to BBC Radio Devon and their fantastic listeners.  Thanks to you our Appeal target has been exceeded and stands at over £725,000!  The surplus money over the £600,000 will go towards maintaining the new helicopter, plus some specialist equipment needed.

Calling all Motorcyclists
On Sunday 8 July we will be holding our annual motorcycle ride out. This year there will be one route, starting in South Molton, finishing at The Den in Paignton.  Online entries will open within the next week so check  back soon.  It's only £5 to enter, which includes a special event t-shirt.

Could you spare a couple of free hours, either on a regular or occasional basis?  Why not donate the gift of time to us - it really does make a difference!

Our volunteer roles vary greatly, and you can do as many or few of those tasks.  For example you might like to pledge your time to one of our charity shops,which may involve you helping out on the shop floor, serving customers, sorting donated goods. Or you might want to service the collection boxes in your area, do talks to community groups, or attend events with one of our merchandise stalls.

Success Stories

We received an email which said 'My name is Andy White and father to identical twin boys Alexander and Benjamin, both now 3 years old.

'At the beginning of 2009 the Devon Air Ambulance came to the rescue of Benjamin who had fallen ill with pneumonia. At the time we were snowed in on our farm and the helicopter was the only way out. We didn’t realise at the time quite how ill Benjamin was, and he needed urgent care at Musgrove Park hospital,  it’s fair to say that the Air Ambulance saved his life.

Recent Missions

We've been looking at ways that we can tell you about what the helicopter has been up to, and with the help of Google, we've come up with a solution! 

This website contains a mission map , which will be updated at the beginning of every day with the  missions flown the day  before.  

Some of the missions of course are slightly more unusual, and you'll be able to find more information about these types of missions as the months go on, in our news section.
