By lending us their precious time and their many skills our volunteers help to save lives. They are a part of a team as well as a community, serving a good cause while making new friends and meeting new people at the same time.
There are all sorts of reasons why so many people choose to volunteer with us, not least the opportunity to learn new skills, gain knowledge and experience, and improve employment prospects. Volunteering is also shown to help decrease depression and stress as well as to boost self-esteem and confidence
Our 650+ volunteers each make an essential contribution to the charity. Through their help we are able to reach those who need specialist medical care when every second counts.
If you are keen to meet new people, make new friends, bring your skills or gain experience in a community setting, we'd love to hear from you.
