As an independent charity our critical care paramedics are empowered to deliver a broad level of care to those we serve.
Critical care doctors
Our Critical Care Doctors can deliver an expanded range of procedures and prescribing.
Pilots & engineers
Our pilots and engineers ensure the swift and safe deployment of our aircraft to the scene of an incident.
The HEMS team
Our HEMS team is responsible for ascertaining which incidents require air ambulance support.
Our support staff
Beyond our crew, management and trustees, it takes an entire workforce to keep our service responding.
From those support staff who manage the work of our crews in the Patient Services and Flight Operations teams, our Fundraising, Volunteers, Retail and Communications teams, to our People, Finance, IT and Facilities teams, it takes a great deal of knowledge, skill and expertise to make sure we are there when we are most needed.

| Retail team | The retail team does incredible work as the first point of contact for our supporters in the community. Our high street shops often act as ‘hubs’ to local people, and, along with our e-commerce team, staff work hard to ensure supporter donations keep the service responding. |
| Volunteers Team | The volunteers team look after the 650+ strong volunteers who lend their time throughout the entirety of Devon. |
| Communications Team | The Communications Team takes care of all our digital and visual communications, the press, our advertising and more. |
| People Team | The People Team looks after the entire workforce at every level of the organisation to make DAA an excellent place to work. |
| IT & Digital Team | The IT & Digital team ensures the smooth and secure running of all of our digital systems across the organisation. |
| Facilities Team | The Facilities team manages all of our estates from our high street shops, to head office, our warehouse and two airbases. |
| Finance Team | The Finance team is responsible for managing the income and expenditure of the organisation, looking after our legacy income and purchases. |
