Shop Manager

Salary: £21,285.74 (£10.89 per hour)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – will include weekends and bank holidays    

Location: Topsham Charity Shop

Duration: Permanent

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Shop Manger who will ensure the effective management of the shop and its volunteers. Daily tasks may include:

  • motivate and support staff and volunteers to a high standard, creating a good team spirit
  • oversee stock sorting, presentation and rotation
  • ensure unsaleable items are sorted for recycling or waste
  • be an ambassador for DAAT maintaining public relations and promoting the service
  • control the shop's expenditure and balance the shop's profit and loss account

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, and has excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Assistant Manager

Salary: £19,356.98 per annum FTE (equating to £15,485.58 / £9.90 per hour)

Hours: 30 hours per week – will include weekends and bank holidays    

Location: Topsham Charity Shop

We have an exciting opportunity to come and work with us as part of our Retail Team. Our Topsham shop is seeking an enthusiastic assistant manager who has a genuine interest in charity retail and is passionate about the values, vision and mission of DAA. You will cover for the shop manager in their absence and work under their direction to ensure the effective management of the shop and its volunteers. Daily tasks may include:

  • oversee and support volunteers in the Manager's absence
  • stock sorting and rotation
  • displaying goods effectively, including creative, themed window displays and maintaining the shop's appearance 
  • sort and prepare unsaleable items for recycling or waste

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised and has excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills.
