Schools

Heroes don't always wear capes, but in this case they do! School children raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance dressed as superheroes and pose with our mascot Ambrose.

Watch this space for our soon-to-be revived schools pages!

In 2015 10% of the patients we helped were children and we are passionate about engaging with Devon's younger generation by helping to educate them about our service and what they should do in an emergency, as well as to inspire them to become our future supporters and fundraisers.

Our schools talks

School children eager to contribute to a talk from one of our Devon Air Ambulance volunteers in their school assembly.

We offer talks to all of the schools in Devon, this is a great way for us to spread the word about the work we do. A member of our fundraising team will give a fun, informative and kid-friendly PowerPoint presentation to a class or school assembly.

If your school would like to have a talk please email Louise

Work sheets and colouring sheets

In preparation for your school talk, or after, you may like to do some work in class about Devon Air Ambulance. We have produced a number of worksheets and information sheets which support various areas of the curriculum.

All of the material is presented in a way that is relevant to everyday life and linked to the work of the Devon Air Ambulance. Much of the material has been produced with the guidance of  Devon's teachers.

Please click here for our full selection of worksheets and colouring sheets that you can download.

Fundraise for us

Would your school like to do some fundraising for us? Maybe you’d like to hold a ‘wear what you like day’ or a cake sale? We can offer you the necessary support to ensure you have a great event and help you maximise your fundraising.

Please email Louise for more information.

Coming soon…our brand new school fundraising pack, will be packed full of ideas and inspiration, so check back soon to download your copy!

Dress as a Hero for National Air Ambulance Week (NAAW)

17-23 September 2017 - ask us about 2018!

Every September, as part of NAAW, we encourage schools to hold their own ‘Dress as Hero’ day, where children can dress up for the day as their favourite super hero for a small donation.

NAAW is the opportunity for all of the local Air Ambulance Charities to have a national, united voice, promoting all of the hard work which goes on not only during NAAW but every single day of the year.

To find out about Dress as a Hero day 2018 please email Louise
