Ambitious students and volunteers have been building a Sky Ranger Swift 3 Aircraft which they are using to help raise awareness of North Devon Hospice and Devon Air Ambulance. Airplane built by Petroc students

Ken Charman, Petroc Project Lead said:

The students have pulled off a great achievement putting the college on the map. If you take pride in your region, why not show your appreciation for their hard work by making a contribution? Our plane is self-funded but their (Devojn Air Ambulance's) helicopter needs public support. Every penny donated goes straight to them.

Devon Air Ambulance Supporter Engagement Officer, Steffan, said:

"We are thrilled to be part of the Build-a-plane project with the team at Petroc. We share our interest and involvement in aviation, and we’re extremely grateful that the team have chosen to support Devon Air Ambulance by raising awareness for our organisation. I had the privilege of meeting the team at their launch event in May, and look at it now, compared to the boxes of poles, nuts and bolts  only months ago! Thank you to Ken and all of the students and volunteers for all of their hard work."

We look forward to hearing more about the aircraft and its outings!

Do you have a fundraising story to share? We'd love to hear from you.
