An afternoon of live entertainment
Our afternoon of entertainment at the Den, Teignmouth, will kick off at 1pm as the bikers begin to arrive. The afternoon is free and open to all, so come along for an enjoyable afternoon for all the family. See the bikes, bring a picnic or grab a bite from one of the refreshment stalls and enjoy the live music.
This year's line up:
1pm Littermouth a British modern art rock band formed in 2012. Based in the South West of England they perform and record original, self penned material. Their songs charge across the boundaries of so many music genres, from rock, funk, pop & reggae to indie, prog, eastern & grunge, that it is impossible to place the band in one musical category. Of course, this makes Littermouth’s music hard to describe. You’re much better of just listening, or catching a live performance to find out just why they’re creating such a stir in the South West Music scene.
2pm Five Finger Discount formed in late 2014 following a chance encounter at a one-day music festival. Featuring Matt Lumsdaine on guitar/vocals, Demelza Jennings on bass/vocals and Matt Jackson on drums/vocals, this upbeat three-piece combine their many shared and varied influences, including hip-hop, ska, drum ‘n’ bass, folk and reggae, to create their own harmonious blend of lyrical Hip-Pop. Their energetic live performances are gaining five-star reviews and fuelling a rapidly growing reputation.
3pm Thick as Thieves A lively and entertaining band featuring all your favourite pop and rock anthems from the 60's onwards.
4pm The Rock Section pack a large and tightly arranged saxophone section into a small band that can perform in most venues for any occasion. Consisting of four saxes ranging from the beefy baritone up to the supple soprano, via the towering tenor and agile altos. These are backed by the solid rock guitar and lead vocals of Jon. Their current stage set includes songs by the Beatles, Blues Brothers, Genesis, Elton John, Madness and Stevie Wonder to name but a few, as well as their own material.
PRS for Music licences the use of copyright music across the UK, giving businesses and organisations the legal permission they need to play the music they want.
These licences ensure that music publishers, songwriters and composers are fairly rewarded with royalties so they can keep making music - and mean that we’re able to support music at events like this.
