Our in house weekly lottery maintains its success as a regular income stream for the charity due to the commitment and continued support of our members.

With the closure of our shops and the cancellation of events, our fundraising income has been severely affected. Our fundraising team have had to adapt the way in which we work and devise innovative ideas to rally new and continued support to generate income.

As our second biggest income stream, raising over £2 million in 2019, the lottery is essential to the charity, but it would not be possible without the support of its invaluable members.

With the closure of many of the shops across the county where members pay their membership, and our lottery canvassers, who usually work across the county signing up on average 150  new members a week, unable to work, the lottery team set about to ensure there wasn’t a decline in active members.

As such, our lottery team have worked hard to adapt the way in which the lottery is operated to ensure the weekly draw continues, as well as establishing other ways for members to pay their membership, whilst also generating new members via the website, email and phone.

We are extremely grateful for the support of all of our lottery members, one recent winner even chose to generously donate her winnings back to the charity.

We’re so grateful for the amazing support we’ve been receiving during this tough time. Our lottery team have worked incredibly hard, contacting all of our members to ensure they know how they can pay their membership if their usual way of paying isn’t available and the response we’ve had from our members has been heart-warming. One winner called to say that we needed the money more than she did and so kindly donated it back to us.

But with the cancellation of more community events and our shops still closed, we need your support more than ever.

Our service continues to operate, with our critical care team responding across the county to save lives. Our team have worked tirelessly to find solutions needed to enable us to resume air operations, whilst continuing to operate our Critical Care Cars 19 hours a day, crewed by specialist critical care paramedics, who offer an essential service otherwise not available until a patient reaches hospital.

Our weekly lottery is a really easy way for you to support us with 76p from every £1 entry being donated to the charity and at the same time giving you the chance to win a cash prize every week. Please, join our lottery. Simply download a form from the website, email [email protected] to request a form or phone 01392 469886.

Thank you to all our lottery members whose support is invaluable to the Charity.
