As a keen runner Cheryl wanted her first marathon to be an iconic one. The London Marathon was the obvious choice, but after receiving another rejection from the ballot, Cheryl decided it was time to apply further afield, and so, Cheryl secured her place for the 2019 Paris Marathon.

After suffering a serious injury in early 2018, Cheryl was unable to run for 8 months, a huge blow to her training, but after numerous visits to specialists and following a series of treatments her running is back on track. Feeling stronger than before Cheryl is even more determined to take on the challenge of the Paris Marathon.

With her race number 62629 issued and having run her furthest distance of 23 miles at the beginning of March, Cheryl is feeling prepared and excited for the task ahead.

To celebrate the momentous challenge of her first marathon Cheryl has chosen to support Devon Air Ambulance and Woodside Animal Welfare Trust with her fundraising.

Cheryl added "Every penny helps these awesome charities do amazing work so please, anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated."

Cheryl is aiming to raise £700 for her chosen charities at this year's Paris Marathon on Sunday 14th April.

If you would like to help her reach her goal you can support her efforts on her fundraising page.
