Some supporters may have had experience of our mobile phone app, which was designed to give you the grid reference of where you were in case you became injured or unwell, in an unknown or isolated area such as on Devon's expansive moorland. Saving vital minutes it can take to reach a patient truly does make a difference.

Unfortunately, the application did not make the transition across a number of updates on IOS software, which meant the app no longer featured on the app store and required a complete rebuild.

Devon Air Ambulance is looking into the development of a new App for both IOS and Android. For this we are seeking project-specific funding that doesn’t drawn funds raised by supporters for our core services. The cost of rebuilding an app that can accommodate frequent updates is in the region of £20,000, so the funding is not insignificant.

We will keep you updated as we explore the options and we will bring you news of project funding developments as soon as we have it.
