The 2020 Dragon Boat Festival promises to be another roaring success, particularly since we have welcomed the support of Cosmic, a Devon-based Social Enterprise, specialising in website development, digital skills training and IT technical support.

As well as being enthusiastic about bringing together a team for the event and becoming our head sponsors, there is another story behind Cosmic's choice to champion Devon Air Ambulance.

Cosmic Joint Chief Executive, Julie Hawker, is not only an avid supporter of Devon Air Ambulance, she is also a former patient who experienced a riding accident (read her story - dated 2013) and is now a Trustee for the charity.

Of her company's continued support for Devon Air Ambulance Julie says:

We are delighted to support Devon Air Ambulance with this event in 2020. We are acutely aware of the critical service that the Trust provides, supporting people when they are most desperately in need of help.

As a Social Enterprise, we are founded on core values of friendship and support and we truly appreciate the level of commitment and dedication that is required to sustain a charity like Devon Air Ambulance. We have been fortunate to work with the charity in 2019, providing Digital Leadership Training to support the management and trustees with the charity's long-term digital strategy.

In 2020 we are proud to continue this partnership, sponsoring the Dragon Boat racing event: it’s a fun, inclusive and entertaining way to engage with this charity, reaching a diverse audience and raising much needed funds. We can’t wait for racing to commence!

Would you like to get your team on board with this year's Dragon Boat Festival event? It's a fun way to team build and to raise funds for your local air ambulances.
