Devon Air Ambulance are delighted to be chosen as n-ergy's South West Region Charity of the Year

Earlier this year n-ergy’s regional team in the South West nominated Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) to be one of n-ergy’s three selected charities of the year for 2016/17.

n-ergy delivers over 3,000 vocational and employability programmes annually to both offenders and ex-offenders in prisons across England and Wales and over the last 9 years have built a reputation as specialists within the offender reform sector. The South West regional team chose to vote for Devon Air Ambulance after Area Manager, Wendy Doodson, had personal experience of the service when her fiancé was airlifted twice.

East Devon familyâ??s tractor run in support of Devon Air Ambulance is a growing success

In February 2000 Annie Riggs was airlifted by Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) following a car accident, she suffered back and neck injuries. Compelled to raise funds for DAA, along with husband Martin and family members Ray, Wendy and Tom Hembrow, they decided to draw on their shared interest of vintage tractors and in 2011 they organised a vintage tractor run.

Now in the 6th year the event has been held every September and has continued to exceed every previous year’s event. The first tractor run, held in September 2011, consisted of just 19 tractors and raised £180.40, this September...

Exeter College invite you to join them this Christmas in support of Devon Air Ambulance

This Christmas Exeter College invite the public to join them in their festive celebrations and support Devon Air Ambulance (DAA). Exeter College’s Festival of Carols will be held on Thursday 8th December at Exeter Cathedral in aid of DAA as the College’s chosen Charity of the Year.

This event is open to the public and free of charge, in turn the College would like to collect donations at the end of the evening for DAA. The festival will run from 7:30pm to 9pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm.

Double celebrations raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance

September 2016 saw two couples in Morwenstow celebrate significant wedding anniversaries in support of Devon Air Ambulance (DAA).

Bill and Edith Cleave celebrated their Diamond wedding anniversary on the 11th September and Valerie and Colin Tape celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on the 24th. Both couples requested donations to DAA in lieu of gifts and together raised an amazing £1360.

Winner of Devon Air Ambulanceâ??s Grand Summer Draw 2016 announced

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is excited to announce the winners of this year’s Grand Summer Draw:

1st Prize – Mazda 2  Mrs Brooks of Essex 2nd Prize - £500  Mr Cole of Seaton 3rd Prize - £100  Ms Dawson of Oldham

Throughout summer 2016 almost 45,000 draw tickets were sold all over the county raising a significant amount of funds for DAA.

Remember, remember….it’s that time of year again and Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is delighted to once again be working with Exeter Round Table for the 2016 Firework display at Westpoint on Saturday 5th November. 

In anticipation of the release of Rogue One in cinemas this December the theme of this year's display will be Star Wars. As well as being the Largest pyro-musical charity firework display in Devon, there will also be a large fair with lots of thrilling rides, a range of food and drink stalls, and ample free parking. Air Ambulance challenges Devon businesses to tame the dragons

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is to hold its third Dragon Boat Festival on the River Exe on Sunday 25 September and is calling on businesses across the county to enter this colourful and exciting team event.

Boats with their traditional Chinese dragon mastheads hold 16-18 kayak-style paddlers, plus a helmsman to steer and a drummer to pace the crew.  They race in heats along the spectator-friendly Exeter Quayside until two are left to compete in the final.

Fundraisers at Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) are anticipating that National Air Ambulance Week later this month will be a good time to take advantage of the country’s current obsession with baking.

The Charity has launched its own ‘Bake off for take off’ campaign encouraging supporters to get into the kitchen, break out the flour, eggs, icing sugar and piping bags and get baking for a good cause.
