Fundraisers at Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) are celebrating the announcement that specialist private client law practice, East Devon Law, has continued to support them as its charity of the year.

The Ottery St Mary based firm was founded in 2012 by Chartered Legal Executive and private client law specialist Ian Hunt with the aim of providing affordable and accessible legal advice which is not driven by financial targets.  He already supports DAAT by giving talks to groups and societies on legal issues and requests a donation to DAAT in lieu of any expenses or charge for speaking. Successful day for Dragons on the Exe - 2014

Devon Air Ambulance Trust was delighted to host their first Dragon Boat Festival on the River Exe on Saturday 27 September with 9 teams competing to be become top dragon!

Businesses/teams taking part were Alcoa, Crisp Professional Development, Francis Clark, The Old Guys, RD&E Hospital (Wonford, Exeter) and South West Highways.

Pots Rodeo is Back Again!

The always lively Pots Rodeo is back for another year hosted by Exeter University Canoe Club (EUCC) in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust. This white-water paddling competition will be held on 25th October at The Mill on the Exe.

The competition consists of two phases: The Rodeo, where paddlers have the opportunity to showcase their paddling skills and prowess, performing tricks on a standing wave, and the Boater-Exe, which is a head to head race through features, with the aim to be the first to cross the finish. Devon Air Ambulance Trust Motorcycle Ride Out 2014

Building on the tremendous success of last year; Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s annual Motorcycle Ride Out returns on Sunday 13th July.  1,019 Motorcycles took part in 2013, and 2014 promises to uphold the excitement of this popular event.

Starting at Heathcoat Cricket Club in Tiverton, riders will head out on a 76 mile route across Devon’s picturesque countryside. When they arrive at The Den in Teignmouth, motorcyclists will be greeted by a host of post-ride activities. Bridgerule Open Gardens open for Local Air Ambulances

Bridgerule Open Gardens offers a day filled with flora and fauna with proceeds shared equally between Devon Air Ambulance Trust and the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.

Eight Gardens will be open for viewing; three of them are new this year. Walking through the floral selection will be a feast for the eyes with a watermill and lakes that can be viewed alongside the perennials. 

Tea and coffee will be available at most gardens. Light lunches will also be available, along with cream teas from St Bridget’s Church and a cake stall from the Methodist chapel. Plants, produce, and preserves...

Gardens with own railway open to support Devon’s Air Ambulances

Roger and Barbara Stimpson live in Honiton, and despite health problems are once again opening their garden in order to raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance.

However this isn’t just any garden, as they have a very special G:Gauge (which is now digital) in their garden too, which was built by Barbara.  The garden has also been created over the past 10 years and has recently been re-laid.
