A ground-breaking collaboration between Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) and Plymouth University has resulted in a new Master’s Degree course for Paramedic air crew aimed at making them amongst the highest qualified in the profession.

Would you like to make a difference and donate to Devon Air Ambulance Trust on a regular basis to help keep your Air Ambulances flying?  Well now you can, by setting up a Direct Debit.  Even better you can do it online via the Charity’s website at daat.org.

Totnes charity shop celebrates first birthday

On 15 November last year Devon Air Ambulance Trust opened the doors to its charity shop in Totnes for the first time. One year on the shop is growing from strength to strength.

Kirsty Whitaker, Manager of the shop said “We have been made very welcome in Totnes and are delighted to be part of the community.”

Heléna Holt, CEO of Devon Air Ambulance Trust, last night received national recognition when she picked up the first runner up prize in the ‘Boss of the Year’ category at the Executive PA Magazine Annual Awards held at the Institute of Directors in London.

New role for record breaking air ambulance pilot

The helicopter pilot who has the longest service record and the most mission flights with a single Air Ambulance charity is to use his vast accumulation of knowledge and experience to become the Safety Manager at Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

Captain Rob Mackie has flown with DAAT for 23 years recording an amazing 7890 missions during his service but, as he approached his 60th birthday, regulations demand he gives up single pilot flying.

Charity shop partners with local businesses

The success of the specialist Furniture & Electrical store opened in Exeter by Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) is attributable in no small part to local businesses who are providing quality stock for onward sale to the general public and helping to spread the word.

Furniture Direct, student accommodation providers Victoria Hall at Printworks and Bishops Move have all supported the charity by donating items of furniture, end of line stock and other general donations, while Bensons Beds, Furniture Village, Harveys and Oak Furniture Land are all passing DAAT leaflets to their customers who can donate the furniture or white goods...
