Tonight BBC One’s popular medical drama ‘Casualty’ will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special feature length edition.  This programme will show an air ambulance crashing into the emergency department after a drone hits the tail rotor.

DAA Charity Lottery: 14 Years and £12 Million Raised

This year we will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Devon Air Ambulance charity lottery, which was launched on 21st September 2001. Our lottery has now reached an impressive 37,000 playing members- that’s over 3% of the 1.1 million people living in Devon! Thanks to the participation of our members, the lottery has raised over £12 million for Devon Air Ambulance since it started, supporting the charity and helping to save thousands of lives.

We can’t wait for our annual DAA Motorcycle Ride Out on Sunday 10th July, which is a great way for bikers to celebrate the Devon countryside and support the charity at the same time. The Ride Out will start from Trago Mills in Newton Abbot and cover around 80 miles of beautiful Devon countryside, before finishing in Dawlish Warren with an afternoon of live entertainment.

Unfortunately, while biking is great fun, there’s always a small chance of things going wrong. The Devon Air Ambulance comes to the aid of bikers throughout Devon – we attended 42 accidents involving motorcyclists in 2015...

DAA Furniture & Electrical Store First Birthday

Last June Devon Air Ambulance launched a new retail venture, by opening a furniture and electrical store in Exeter.  Twelve months later the store is truly going from strength to strength, with a staff of five.

In order to celebrate the team have been supported by local businesses including Exeter City FC, Bills Restaurant, Furniture Direct and Roly’s Fudge who have each given a gift as a tombola prize.  Everyone buying something at the store over the birthday weekend had the opportunity to pick out a lucky ticket and win themselves a treat

Devon Air Ambulance charity shop to return to Armada  Plymouth

Devon Air Ambulance will be returning to Plymouth in June with a new charity shop at Armada Way.

The new shop will open at 10am on Saturday 18th June and you will find it at 107 Armada Way, Plymouth, PL1 1HH.

Chrissie Peel, Retail Operations Manager of Devon Air Ambulance said “We are very excited about returning to Plymouth.  Our previous shop in Mutley Plain closed some two years ago and we promised our amazing supporters in Plymouth that we would be back, as soon as we found the right premises which fitted our model.  That time is now.”
