Calling keen photographers ...Have you got some great photos of Devon locations that you might like featured on one of our 2015 Christmas cards? The photos will be turned into a painting.

We're looking for photos of iconic and beautiful Devon locations - for example it could be a village street in North Devon, Torquay sea front, Exeter Cathedral or Tavistock town square. We would like a card for each of the East, North, South, West areas.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust recently held its second annual internal Retail Awards, which celebrated retail excellence within the Charity.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust currently has 14 shops across the county, and is proud that all items sold have been wholly donated by the community which it serves.

It's been another busy Christmas period (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day) for your Devon Air Ambulances…..


• 10 jobs
• 1 job stood down
• 2 patients treated on scene
• 7 patients conveyed
• 6 medical related ie heart/cardiac/fits
• 1 trauma related – fall
• One trip to Bristol Children’s Hospital (on Christmas Eve) with poorly baby girl
• We airlifted five male patients including one elderly
• We airlifted two female patients; one baby and one elderly

New Finance Director at Devon Air Ambulance

Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) has appointed Chartered Accountant Dave Hawes as its new Finance Director, replacing Steve Tupper who is retiring after 12 years in the role.

Thirty-three year old Dave has previously worked in Sydney for top 10 accountancy practice BDO after qualifying in London with H W Fisher and for the past 5 years has been working in Exeter for Capita Asset Services.

Our Lottery goes from strength to strength

It’s been quite a year for Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s in house Lottery, who have celebrated 30,000 playing members.

The charity funded service started its own in house lottery in September 2001 and since then it has gone from strength to strength.

The amount raised by DAAT Lottery members effectively this year will pay for 330 life-saving missions.  A huge achievement.

In 2013 sales of the Lottery equated to £1.35 million with over £900,000 donated back to the Trust (272 missions) after the deduction of the prize fund and minimal administration charges.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust were pleased to hear that the Chancellor  George Osborne today announced as part of his Autumn Statement that charities who work as part of the Emergency Response Services would receive VAT relief.  At the same time he also announced there would be a further £7.5 million pot of money in support of Air Ambulance charities across the UK.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust is delighted to be reopening their Heavitree, Exeter charity shop on Saturday 6 December at 10am.

Jennifer McMahon (Jen), 28 and mum of one from Paignton, has always worked in administration but was looking for something where she could make a difference whilst learning new things and challenging herself.
