Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is your opportunity to pledge your support to Devon Air Ambulance, by being part of a global day of giving something back.

Giving Tuesday immediately follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so after doing some early Christmas shopping or buying yourself something special, you can give something back to your local community. Giving Tuesday is a day all about supporting a special charity and we think we fit the bill.

As an independent charity, we rely wholly on the generosity of people, businesses and the communities of Devon to raise the vital funds needed to keep our helicopters airborne. It...

Experience Some Disney Magic on Fireworks Night

The year has flown by and it’s time once again for the Exeter Round Table Fireworks Display. We are very lucky to be supported by Devon’s largest pyro-musical display again this year and we are even more excited than ever at this year’s theme – Disney!

The event itself is more than just a fireworks display – it’s a full-on fairground! With a great range of food and drink stalls as well as a selection of thrilling rides.

Not only is it a great firework display but it’s a great cause to support too. The main charity being supported this year is...

Celebrating 25 years of lifesaving service

Devon Air Ambulance will be celebrating 25 years of lifesaving service in style at Darts Farm this September.  Why not pop 9 September in your diary now to make sure you don’t miss coming along and enjoying the fun from 9.30am to 4pm.

Heléna Holt, CEO of Devon Air Ambulance said “It’s hard to believe the service is approaching 25 years of service. In that time we have flown over 24,500 lifesaving missions.

She added “It’s important to us to remember our roots. Devon Air Ambulance was born from great sadness.  Ann Ralli tragically lost her son Ceri, aged just 18, in...

How Technology has changed over the past 25 years.

Devon Air Ambulance is delighted to be celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Twenty five years ago on 27 August 1992 our first mission was flown.  At this time our aircrew only flew five days a week. Since then we have continued to make great strides as a service putting us in a position where we are now able to reach any emergency situation in the county quickly; from the moors to the shores.

We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary with our ‘Say it with Silver’ campaign which is helping to raise the vital funds needed to keep Devon’s Air Ambulances flying and...

Reserves Day 2017

Reserves Day is on Wednesday 21st June, in honour of the reservists who give up their spare time to serve in the Forces. As well as reservists, Saturday 24th June marks Armed Forces Day, and aims to celebrate the wider armed forces community, including cadets, Service families and veterans.

With these two important occasions approaching, we want to show our support and appreciation for everyone at Devon Air Ambulance, from volunteers to aircrew and staff, who has served in the Reserve Forces...

Cara Jones, Volunteer Manager

Devon Air Ambulance would once again like to take an opportunity to promote its ‘Supporter Promise’ at the same time as welcoming new Volunteer Manager, Cara Jones (pictured right), to its team to support over 430 amazing volunteers.

After receiving questions on whether it pays its volunteers a cut of monies they collect, Fundraising Director Caroline Creer says “All our amazing volunteers donate their time and efforts day in, day out.  They could be attending events, working in one of our 17 charity shops, collecting boxes or picking up a cheque at a presentation.”

She added “We’ve been asked a lot recently if we pay commission...
