Helpful Holidays raise over £10,000 for Devon Air Ambulance from a year of fundraising

The award-winning West Country cottage specialists, Helpful Holidays, raised an incredible £10,581.28 throughout 2016 for Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) as their chosen Charity of the Year.

Over £8,500 of the funds were raised by Helpful Holidays customers, prompted by Helpful Holidays as an optional donation, when making their holiday booking.

In addition, Helpful Holidays raised further funds through a charity Cricket Match held at Chagford Cricket Club in the summer of 2016, in which DAA employees Dave Hawes and Afnan Tellesy competed against the Helpful Holiday team.

Devon Air Ambulance to receive a an incredbile £16,000 from a record-breaking year for the Exeter Round Table

The 38th annual Exeter Round Table charity Firework event was a huge success attracting a crowd of over 8600 visitors and smashing all records by raising £32,000 for local good causes and charities.

Matt Church, Event lead organiser said: “We are extremely proud of the event and would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts in making this occasion such a success. The Jubilee Inn at West Anstey near South Molton is inviting people to write their wishes on a cardboard star in return for a charitable donation to Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) from December 5 (2016) until Twelfth Night in January.

Devon Air Ambulance are delighted to be chosen as n-ergy's South West Region Charity of the Year

Earlier this year n-ergy’s regional team in the South West nominated Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) to be one of n-ergy’s three selected charities of the year for 2016/17.

n-ergy delivers over 3,000 vocational and employability programmes annually to both offenders and ex-offenders in prisons across England and Wales and over the last 9 years have built a reputation as specialists within the offender reform sector. East Devon familyâ??s tractor run in support of Devon Air Ambulance is a growing success

In February 2000 Annie Riggs was airlifted by Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) following a car accident, she suffered back and neck injuries. Compelled to raise funds for DAA, along with husband Martin and family members Ray, Wendy and Tom Hembrow, they decided to draw on their shared interest of vintage tractors and in 2011 they organised a vintage tractor run.

Now in the 6th year the event has been held every September and has continued to exceed every previous year’s event. The first tractor run, held in September 2011, consisted of just 19 tractors and raised £180.40, this September...

Exeter College invite you to join them this Christmas in support of Devon Air Ambulance

This Christmas Exeter College invite the public to join them in their festive celebrations and support Devon Air Ambulance (DAA). Exeter College’s Festival of Carols will be held on Thursday 8th December at Exeter Cathedral in aid of DAA as the College’s chosen Charity of the Year.

This event is open to the public and free of charge, in turn the College would like to collect donations at the end of the evening for DAA. The festival will run from 7:30pm to 9pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm.

Double celebrations raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance

September 2016 saw two couples in Morwenstow celebrate significant wedding anniversaries in support of Devon Air Ambulance (DAA).

Bill and Edith Cleave celebrated their Diamond wedding anniversary on the 11th September and Valerie and Colin Tape celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on the 24th. Both couples requested donations to DAA in lieu of gifts and together raised an amazing £1360.

Winner of Devon Air Ambulanceâ??s Grand Summer Draw 2016 announced

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is excited to announce the winners of this year’s Grand Summer Draw:

1st Prize – Mazda 2  Mrs Brooks of Essex 2nd Prize - £500  Mr Cole of Seaton 3rd Prize - £100  Ms Dawson of Oldham

Throughout summer 2016 almost 45,000 draw tickets were sold all over the county raising a significant amount of funds for DAA.

Fundraising Director Caroline Creer added “We would like to say huge congratulations to our lucky winners, as well as thank everyone who helped to sell the tickets and thank everyone who bought a ticket.”
