She said: “Devon Air Ambulance saved my mum’s life. You can never repay a life.  I enjoy volunteering and meeting people but most of all I enjoy getting the message across."

"So many people don’t understand how important the Air Ambulance is to us all.  I’d give as much time as is...

Volunteers form an essential part of any charity and with Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) that’s no different. In fact we simply couldn’t function without the 400+ lifesavers who give up their time so freely and generously either on a regular or occasional basis.

DAAT Volunteers Support Officer, Rosey Oakes, said: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of Devon Air Ambulance Trust...

Posted by on May 27th 2014 in Fundraising

Freya McLeish, 17, participated in her first skydive in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) on 3rd May. A 15,000ft jump from an airplane isn’t for the faint of heart, and Freya proved up to the task. She took on this challenge for the most personal of reasons. “I chose to raise money for DAAT because of my Granddad’s recent heart attack and his involvement with the fantastic DAAT crew”.

Freya’s Grandfather was admitted to North Devon District Hospital back in February with severe chest pains. As his condition worsened, it became apparent that he would need stents fitted to unblock...
