Supporters Pauline & Kenneth Govier, raised an impressive £5,606 for Devon Air Ambulance when they organised a cheese and wine evening at their local village hall in September 2017.
The evening, which comprised of live music performed by singer Sarah Randle along with an auction of donations which were put under the hammer by auctioner Paul Heard of Heard RPS, was a great success with over 90 people in attendance.
Kenneth Govier, who chose to support Devon Air Ambulance after he was airlifted in December 2012 following a cardiac arrest, stated “We would like to thank everyone who donated and pledged so generously on the night, it exceeded all of our expectations.”
Devon Air Ambulance Fundraising Director Caroline Creer added “We are incredibly grateful to the Goviers for their support, they have raised an incredible amount through their cheese and wine evening which clearly proved to be an incredibly popular event in their village. We love to hear from patients we’ve helped and it’s always heart-warming when they become avid supporters of the Charity.”
