On Sunday 16th July 2017, The Hermitage Inn, a delightful local pub in the estuary town of Kingsbridge, held a Summer Celebration BBQ in support of Devon Air Ambulance and The Royal Voluntary Service.
With live music performed in the beautiful garden by Totnes based duo ‘The Craving’ and solo performer Crystal, and with the sun shining all afternoon the well-attended event was enjoyed by all.
The BBQ raised £69.34 for Devon Air Ambulance, bringing the Hermitage Inn’s overall fundraising to a fantastic £690.15.
Land lady Anna McKenna stated “It’s always great to see people enjoying themselves and raising funds for such a worthy cause. A number of our local regulars know someone who has been helped by Devon Air Ambulance, which makes the fund raising effort all the more meaningful.”
Fundraising Director Caroline Creer added “We are extremely appreciative to the Hermitage Inn for their continued support, as well as holding regular events to raise funds for us they keep a permanent box in the pub and we are immensely grateful for all funds donated.”
For the last two Decembers, the Hermitage Inn have held a very successful Christmas Sing-along evening in support of DAA and the ever-popular event is set to return this December. Details of the event will be promoted via the event page of DAA’s website as well as via their social media. Alternatively, you can contact the pub direct via email or telephone 01548 853234.
