Party-goers from Devon looking for a New Year’s Eve event to attend are invited to The Jubilee Inn, near South Molton, for a night of celebrations including free fireworks’ display at midnight and music and dancing throughout the evening to help raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance (DAA).
Claire Sellar-Elliott, who co-owns the country inn, restaurant and boutique hotel at West Anstey, with Executive Chef, Sam Salway, said: “We’re holding the event on December 31 to help say ‘thank you’ to all our regular customers and are also hoping that in return for the free entertainment, which includes a fabulous, fireworks’ display at midnight and dancing until 3am, that people will make donations in collection buckets for DAA.
“We’ve been supporting the charity this year through a series of events and activities, including our Christmas wishing tree where guests can make a wish on a star, hang it on the tree and make a donation too. Our end of year party seems like a fitting way to round off the year and another opportunity to help with the fundraising efforts of this essential rural service that touches the lives of so many people every year.”
Devon Air Ambulance Fundraising Director, Caroline Creer, added: “We are extremely grateful to the Jubilee Inn for their continued support, we hope they and their guests have a fabulous New Year celebration and we would like to thank all who attend and donate to DAA.”
With thanks for the continued fantastic support from the people, businesses and communities of Devon, DAA look forward to continuing to develop their service into 2017, their 25th year.
Claire added: “As well as complimentary celebrations, we’re offering complimentary draft soft drinks from a selection to designated drivers who accompany groups of four or more friends to the event or dine with us on the evening.
“We are offering an outstanding special New Year’s Eve menu costing £32 per person. This menu will be available from December29 onwards for lunch and dinner bookings but strictly by pre-booking only on December 31.
“We hope lots of people take us up on our drinks offer and come along to our complimentary celebrations too. Our idea is very much designed to support the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary’s recently launched campaign to make people more drink aware during the yuletide period, and we’re hoping it will make a real difference especially in rural areas like ours.”
