Class of 81 raises £750 for Air Ambulance

A school reunion held at Dartmouth Golf & Country Club in March has resulted in a cheque for £750 for Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

Over 70 former students at Kingsbridge Community College chose the year when they each pass the 50 year old mark to reunite and catch up on old memories.

Amongst the class of 1981 was Heléna Holt who grew up in Kingsbridge and is now Chief Executive of DAAT.  She said: “It was a wonderful occasion to catch up with so many old friends and it was made special for me because they decided to use the evening to raise some money for Devon Air Ambulance.”

The £750 was raised through the profits on tickets sold for the event and a raffle.  Heléna met up with friends and event organisers Janice Jeffery and Judith Morgan at DAAT’s charity shop in Kingsbridge last weekend to receive the cheque.
