The Dartmouth Golf Club Ladies Team raised £2574 for Devon Air Ambulance Trust as their chosen Charity for 2014. The year was filled with drive-ins, dinners and of course a ‘pig race’. The pig race consisted of setting off toy pigs with different batteries, with one coming out the victor.
Sylvia Shalders, captain of the Ladies Team, says, “Thank you to all of our members for supporting the Charity I chose for this year. We support Devon Air Ambulance Trust because as golfers, we can be very vulnerable and it is a comfort to know the service is available to all. The helicopter has been to the club before to save a life, and continuing to support this worthy cause means it will continue to be the incredible asset the community already relies on”.

Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, says, “The Charity is grateful to the Dartmouth Golf Club Ladies Team for choosing us as their Charity this past year. Their generous fundraising efforts will go directly to the life-saving service the Trust provides. We extend our greatest thanks to all of the club’s members for their support”.
