Jennifer McMahon (Jen), 28 and mum of one from Paignton, has always worked in administration but was looking for something where she could make a difference whilst learning new things and challenging herself.
Spotting that Devon Air Ambulance Trust was looking for an apprentice receptionist Jen thought that it could be just the role that she was looking for.
Jen said “You spend so much time at work that it’s essential to do something that you enjoy. I believe the work Devon Air Ambulance does is invaluable. The chance to be a part of the team was very appealing. Being a small contributing factor to the incredible work that DAAT does feels like an achievement.”
She added “An apprenticeship is a qualification equivalent to an NVQ. It will help me deliver a better quality of work when it comes to supporting my colleagues and give me a chance to further improve on the skills I have already acquired.”
When Jen isn’t working for Devon Air Ambulance Trust you are likely to find her shopping, socialising and volunteering for other local charities and good causes. She is very much looking forward to getting around all of the Charity’s 15 shops and picking up a bargain or two!
