Back in February, Karen Threadgold threw a charity ball raising over £1100 for Devon Air Ambulance Trust. The event celebrated 20 years of Karen running Rosemary Conley classes in Torquay, Paignton, and Newton Abbot but unfortunately coincided with Rosemary Conley Food & Fitness Ltd going into administration. Undeterred, Karen has since set up her own Threadgold Fitness classes so she can continue to help members, old and new, achieve their fitness and/or weight-loss goals.
The ball was attended by over 100 members and partners, making it a great success. Karen says, “It was a fabulous event. Everyone looked stunning and I was very proud. It was great to be able to raise money for such a good cause as part of our celebrations. I can’t believe I have been running classes for so long, and I’m looking forward to the future as Threadgold Fitness”.
Threadgold Fitness offers both exercise and nutritional advice in one class. Now that Karen is up and running with her new venture, she has finally been able to present a cheque to the cause she believes in. The cheque presentation was attended by John and Cindy Ball on behalf Devon Air Ambulance Trust at one of Karen’s evening classes.
Karen is changing lives by inspiring individuals to live a healthier lifestyle, while also supporting the community through fundraising. “We chose Devon Air Ambulance Trust as our Charity, as we know that there is always a possibility that any of us or our relatives may need them one day”.
Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising for Devon Air Ambulance Trust, says, “We would like to thank Karen for throwing a spectacular event, raising funds for the Charity. Her support is greatly appreciated, and we wish her the best of luck with her new business”.
