Tracy Lambert (pictured on left) will be travelling all the way across the pond to New York, to run the TCS New York City Marathon in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust. She will be travelling to the Big Apple this autumn with her husband Neil and children Katy and James for her 50th birthday celebrations. This milestone won’t just be marked by sightseeing, but by participating in the famous marathon on the 2nd November.
Tracy isn’t just running for herself, but with the purest intentions of giving back to the local community. “I am looking forward to raising money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust. This is such a valuable and essential resource for any rural community and I am keen to give the Charity as much support as I can through my marathon run”. Tracy is a partner at Tozers Solicitors LLP, who havechosen DAAT as their Charity of the Year 2014. Tozers understand how the Charity is an advocate for all people in the area, and their representatives have undertaken the task of supporting in various ways.
Tracy is going above and beyond with her participation in the New York Marathon. Not only is it a great accomplishment, but it brings the local Charity overseas for new exposure. Training isn’t easy for over 26 miles of city streets; therefore as part of her training Tracy is also participating in Exeter’s Great West Run, a half marathon sponsored by Tozers. Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the local charity partner for the half marathon, keeping Tozers and DAAT working closely together throughout the autumn.
Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, says, “We would like to thank Tracy for participating in the New York Marathon supporting the Charity. We wish her the best of luck, and look forward to cheering her on at Exeter’s Great West Run before she heads to New York City for her big day.”
