Pecorama is holding their annual Open Garden Day on 6th July in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust. This year entry to the gardens, model railway exhibition, and both indoor and outdoor play areas is free. Unlike other open garden events, Pecorama offers more than a relaxing stroll through their magnificent flora.
Attendees can expect various competitions, the opportunity to have a go at driving one of Peco’s locomotives along a short stretch of track for just a fiver in aid of DAAT, family entertainment with A Wizard Called Ozz, and of course appearances from Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s very own paramedic bear, Ambrose and Lady Helicopter, Jennie. There is something for everyone at this exciting family day out.
Pecorama have chosen Devon Air Ambulance Trust as their nominated Charity of the Year 2014. Mark Ridgers, Tourism Site Manager for Pecorama, says, “We are delighted that DAAT will be the beneficiaries from this year’s Peco Open Garden Day. We must all appreciate the value of having a fully funded and operating Air Ambulance”.
This perfect summer day activity isn’t just about the fun it’s creating, but is instilled with the spirit of giving back. Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, says, “We would like to thank Pecorama for once again putting on a fantastic event that also supports the community. It is sure to be a lively day out for the entire family, and we encourage everyone to stop by”.
Peco’s Open Garden Day runs from 10am to 5:30pm.
