Berrys, Chartered Accountants of Torrington are holding their 3rd annual Charity Golf Day with proceeds in part to Devon Air Ambulance Trust on 19th September. The day will be one of competition and camaraderie, with golfers playing in teams of four. On arrival to the Royal North Devon Golf Club, participants will be greeted with a bacon roll, and will be given a two course meal after their long day on the green.
Prizes will be awarded to the five best playing teams, and a raffle will be run throughout the day adding excitement to the golfing atmosphere. The success of last year’s event has inspired Berrys to strive for an even larger gathering this year.
Joanna Berry, Director of Berrys, Charted Accountants says, “Last year we were able to present a cheque for £900 to DAAT and we hope it will be considerably more this year. We aim to increase the number of teams taking part to twenty-five, from last year’s fifteen, and we are planning to offer local businesses a chance to sponsor the day by giving a prize for the raffle”.
The ethos behind this day is first and foremost to give back to the community. Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director at Devon Air Ambulance Trust says, “We would like to thank Berrys, Chartered Accountants for putting on another great golf day that also supports the community. We encourage all local golfers to participate in this event and enjoy a day on the course”.
Berrys Charity Golf Day commences at 10:30 am. Entry fee is £160 for a team of four. If you would like to book a team or find out more information please contact Jill on 01805 628122.
