Volunteer Sue Miller, a 27 year old mother of three from Tavistock, began volunteering for DAAT a year ago but has been aware of the service since she was involved in a car crash with her mother as a child. She gives talks, handles cheque presentations and attends events. She said: “Devon Air Ambulance saved my mum’s life. You can never repay a life. I enjoy volunteering and meeting people but most of all I enjoy getting the message across."
"So many people don’t understand how important the Air Ambulance is to us all. I’d give as much time as is needed."
Volunteer Support Officer Rosey added “Sue is a crucial part of our team. Without our volunteers we would struggle to do the life-saving work that we do. Would you like to join Sue and our volunteering family? Could you donate the gift of time either regularly or occasionally? ”
