Devon Air Ambulance Trust is delighted to announce that their 14th charity shop will open on 19 July in South Molton.
Martin Bell, Retail Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust said “We aim to expand the number of shops across the county by two a year. We recognise the huge support received from the North Devon community, but until now haven’t been able to find the right property to meet our needs. This of course is due to various factors for example the size of the shop, access, lease terms and of course the cost.”
He added “We’re really looking forward to becoming part of the community in South Molton. We’ve recently advertised the position of full-time manager and part-time assistant manager and these places should be filled in the near future. We will then obviously be looking for volunteers to help run this shop and of course donated stock to fill it.”
If you feel you could donate the gift of time, or would like to find out more about how you could get involved by volunteering and helping to run this shop please get in touch with Rosey Oakes on 01392 466666 or email email@example.com
Devon Air Ambulance Trust has 13 charity shops across the county: Exeter (Heavitree, St Thomas and x2 in Topsham), Newton Abbot, Tiverton, Honiton, Sidmouth, Barnstaple, Kingsbridge, Exmouth, Mutley and Budleigh Salterton.
The shops sell wholly donated goods apart from a couple of items of the Charity’s own merchandise (re-useable bags, badges and wristbands)
Last year income from the shops exceeded £1 million for the first time
Our charity shops being at the heart of the community are not there purely to raise funds but to also act as a community hub right at the heart of our supporters and fundraisers
