We received this lovely message on Facebook from 19 year old Alice who was airlifted when she was just a toddler. Alice gave us permission to share it with you all. Thanks so much Alice. We needed tissues in the office when reading and we are so grateful to you for getting in touch and sharing your experiences.
Alice said "Hello, This is my puppy 'mousey' supporting Devon Air Ambulance Trust.
When I was 16 months old I sneaked out of my baby-sitter's home & I fell into a pond, I was discovered over ten minutes after being face down, the Devon Air ambulance came to my aid & I was quickly taken into hospital when I was put into a medically induced coma.
My Dad was called by the hospital and told to come in to say goodbye to me, both parents were told if I came out of the coma I would be severely brain damaged.
I can happily say I am 19 and healthy all thanks to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, their hard work shows daily, my family and I are eternally grateful & we will continue supporting forever -please could you post this picture of my lovely little boy on your wall?
Thank you always - Alice x
