Rotary Club of Exmouth support DAAT through Night of the Proms at Exeter Cathedral

The months following Christmas can sometimes be an anticlimax; tearing down the last remainders of tinsel and slowly working your way through a stockpile of chocolate.

Luckily for Devon Air Ambulance Trust, The Rotary Club of Exmouth & District have organised a fabulous event to raise everyone’s spirits.  An uplifting ‘Last Night Of The Rotary Proms’ Concert is planned at Exeter Cathedral – guaranteed to pull us all out of those post-holiday blues.  The event will be held on Saturday 1st March, starting at 7.30pm and will support Devon Air Ambulance Trust along with two other charities.

With the format echoing the BBC’s Albert Hall ‘Night of the Proms’, attendees will be treated to music throughout the evening from the Band of HM Royal Marines CTCRM, alongside Corps of Drums and The Military Wives Choir. This occasion also celebrates the Centenary of Rotary International in Great Britain – it will be a flag-waving, patriotic event not to be missed!

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director for Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT), said “What fun!  The spectacular, historic Exeter Cathedral is a fantastic venue for an event like this and the evening is bound to be brilliantly entertaining.”

Graham Kirby of The Rotary Club of Exmouth & District said, “We’re delighted to be hosting this event.  One of our members was airlifted following a heart attack and when we decided the Charities to choose for this event DAAT was a definite vote.  We’re hoping that the evening will generate significant funds to help keep their service going, along with funds for Children’s Hospice SW and the Rotaries International Charity End Polio Now.”

Tickets are already on sale, ranging from £12.00 - £25.00, and are expected to sell out very quickly. Please visit or telephone 01392 665885 for more information.
