Catherine Moss-Crump Patient Services Manager & Executive Assistant to the Operations Director Expand Catherine Moss-Crump line manages a team of Patient Services Administrators and oversees and reports on a range of Patient Services functions. As well as this, she provides an extensive Executive Assistant service the Operations Director and the Board of Directors at Devon Air Ambulance. Catherine graduated from University with a Batchelors Degree in Biological Sciences and has 20 years of high-level administrative experience. This enables her to bring an invaluable level of knowledge and understanding to the support she provides to the patient services function at Devon Air Ambulance. She has expertise in scheduling, cloud-based management systems, time management applications and procurement of operationally critical items. Catherine plays an active role in strategic projects as well as organising clinical and company wide events. Catherine was also part of the team which won the AAUK award for charity team of the year. In her personal life Catherine lives in Devon with her family where she can be found enjoying the countryside or renovating her family home. So far, Carla has been spending time meeting colleagues in the E-Bay warehouse, shops, on the delivery van and visiting the air bases. Carla commented “you don’t realise how much goes into making a charity like this work or how invested everyone is. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and passionate about what they do!”. Carla lives in Devon with her family and enjoys getting out and about as often as possible as Devon has so much to do!
Jon Thompson Patient Services Logistics Officer Expand Telephone: 01392 466666 Email: Contact through our Trading Company Limited page Jon joined Devon Air Ambulance in March 2022 after several years working in distribution and logistics roles for both Royal Mail, and a supermarket chain. Having spent the pandemic ‘marooned’ away from the Westcountry, he was itching to get back to the Southwest and build a life in Devon doing something more interesting. He is a qualified traditional wooden boatbuilder with, among other things, a deep interest in military history and a lifelong passion for aviation. At his initial interview to join DAA, he surprised his interviewers by knowing more about DAA’s Helicopters than they did! Although his own ambition to be a pilot has not yet been realised (never say never!), working for DAA does allow him the un-ending thrill of working around aircraft and seeing them fly at close quarters. His role day to day, involves the management of DAA’s medical storerooms at the Airbases and HQ, the transport of equipment and medical products around the county, and carrying out and coordinating the running maintenance and safety assurance of most of DAA’s company vehicles (including the Critical Care Cars). He also does a great deal of behind-the-scenes admin, including assisting with medical consumable procurement, extensive liaison with our medics and pilots, and providing logistical assistance to several of DAA’s other departments, especially Flight Ops, Facilities, and Fundraising. In his spare time, he enjoys the interests already mentioned, in addition to reading, walking, and photography, and can often be found at various airshows, museums and aviation events throughout the year.
