I am responsible for the provision of our operational service, from the initial procurement of the helicopters and their equipment right through to the care that reaches the patient.

I  joined Devon Air Ambulance in 1997 as an Aircrew Paramedic and still fly regularly as part of the operational team.

My role is to support the organisation bring the aviation and clinical aspects together to form ‘our service’. I liaise with our key stakeholders, such as the South Western Ambulance Service, the wider NHS and Plymouth University, as well as the other emergency services, contractors and our fellow air ambulance services around the UK. I help ensure that our airbases, helicopters and team members have the facilities and equipment needed for us to deliver our service safely and effectively to patients. I also oversee the clinical development of our team, the level of care we offer patients and the establishment of Community Landing Sites.
