What will you get this Christmas?

Added on: 16 December 2011

Devon Air Ambulance Trust are pleased to be working once again with Exeter City Football Club this Christmas and New Year.

At the Exeter City FC verses Yeovil Town match on 2 January 2012 the Charity will be sending its Christmas helpers to St James’ Park to relieve fans of their unwanted Christmas gifts prior to the match.

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust said “We know that sometimes in the Christmas rush, Santa gets it a bit wrong!  If he brings you more socks than a centipede could need, or Christmas jumper not quite to your taste or another bottle of aftershave, why not return it to him and help us raise vital funds for Devon Air Ambulance Trust.”

She added “Of course, it may be that you receive everything you wished for but now you need to clear some space in the cupboard? Whichever way your Christmas goes, if you have something you would like (discreetly of course) to give back, Santa’s Elves will be at the entrances to St James Park at Stadium Way, St James Road and Well Street from 12 noon.”

Of course you don’t have to be going to the football match to pop along and donate your items, it might be that you are just in the area.

The Charity will be able to raise vital funds from the unwanted gifts by selling your items in their charity shops throughout the county and raising essential funds to keep Devon’s Air Ambulances flying.

If you can’t make the game but have gifts that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at any of our shops, in Exeter (St Thomas, Heavitree or Topsham), Newton Abbot, Plymouth, Exmouth, Tiverton, Honiton and Barnstaple.

You can stay in touch with the latest news on the Charity via their facebook page ‘Devon Air Ambulance Trust’ or by following them on twitter @DevonAirAmb.
