Simon Reaches for the Skies

A partner at Milsted Langdon’s Taunton office will be doing his bit to keep Devon’s Air Ambulance flying high after being appointed to the charity’s Board of Trustees, where he will serve as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Sub-committee.

Simon Denton will serve a minimum of three years on the Devon Air Ambulance Trust board, where he will be responsible for ensuring the charity is managed within the law and that it adheres to all the rules and regulations set out by the Charity Commission.

The charity needs to raise around £4million each year to keep its two helicopters airborne.  Thanks to the generous support of the people and businesses of Devon, as well as the efforts of its army of volunteers, Devon Air Ambulance Trust is able to fly around 1,600 missions each year.

Simon said: “I knew the previous Treasurer very well and she recommended me for this position. I’m delighted to be involved with such a worthwhile charity and I look forward to helping it continue its life-saving work in the future.”
