Devon Air Ambulance Trust's Recession Ball takes off

Added on: 10 February 2010

Padbrook Park, Cullompton will set the scene for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s Recession Ball from 7.30pm on Friday 12th March 2010.

This is set to be an evening of great fun and laughter, with all the fun of the village fete with many stands such as tombola, hoopla, coconut shy, bottle stall, plus much more!  There will also be a silent auction, where you can bid for some fantastic items.

Tickets have been priced at just £17.50, which includes a hearty meal of local fayre.  Great value considering there will also be live music by local band ‘Thick as Thieves’.

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director for Devon Air Ambulance Trust said ‘We are very excited about this event.  We usually hold a black tie charity dinner every year, but we wanted to give this year’s ball a bit of a twist and make it affordable for all, especially in what are still difficult economic times for many.’

She added ‘We are extremely grateful to Thick as Thieves for coming along to entertain our guests, they are an amazing band, who first played at our motorcycle event last July, and proved such a hit for our supporters, that we wanted to invite them back again.  We are also grateful to our sponsors, without whom this event just wouldn’t be possible – Hatch Marquees, Edge Recruitment and Eventful (SW) Ltd.’

There will be a prize for the best dressed guest, who has dressed from clothes bought in one of our charity shops (proof will be required).
