Charity shop opens its doors for all things weird and wonderful on Halloween
Added on: 15 October 2012
Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s Kingsbridge shop is organising a family fun day for Halloween. The new shop, opened in March this year, has really found its feet and is already gearing up for the party season.
The manager, Maureen Clarke, who has a strong background in charity retailing said: ‘There’s a thriving local community here and we love to hold family events. Volunteers will be reading stories to children throughout the day and doing face painting. There will be Halloween themed refreshments, a make your own badge area and other activities. We have a wealth of popular fancy dress outfits in stock and staff will be dressed as ghosts and ghouls. It will be a great way for local people to get into the Halloween spirit’.
The event will be held at the Kingsbridge shop and if anyone would like to help on the day, between 9.00am and 4.30pm on 31st October, or to volunteer on a regular basis, please contact Maureen Clarke on 01548 854498.
