Added on: 18 March 2011

Lottery teamThe Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s lottery is celebrating today, after their weekly draw signed up their 20,000th member.

Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director for Devon Air Ambulance Trust said ‘This is a fantastic achievement for the charity as a whole and our lottery team.  I am very proud of what we have achieved during the last 9 ½ years.’

She added ‘To put into perspective, we have 2,000 more playing members per week compared to this time last year. In 2010 we gave away 676 prizes totalling more than £110,000.  Even better £710,000 was donated back to the charity. From every £1 membership to the Charity’s lottery, an average of 73p is donated back to the charity.’
