Art Raises Money for Two Local Charities

Added on: 9 November 2012

A successful fundraising art and craft exhibition has had to find a new venue this year as the Walronds in Cullompton closes for renovation. Local artist and event organizer Clare Schmidt Norris is grateful to Lynda Goetz of Pirzwell St John, Kentisbeare, who has been generous in letting her converted barn be used for this year’s charity event. From 10th – 13th November the Pirzwell Studio will be awash with colour as fourteen South West Artists and Makers show their work to help raise money for two charities: Devon Air Ambulance and The Cullompton Walronds Preservation Trust. This is a great opportunity for the public to see a diverse range of paintings, pottery and textiles in a beautiful setting at the same time as raising funds for two great causes.

Other artists taking part include Exeter potter Pauline Zelinski, Cullompton based textile artist Jan Tillett and the photographer Rob Stopford of Culmstock who produced the highly successful 2012 Culmstock Calender Girls which has raised £6000 for Devon Air Ambulance through its sales.

The exhibition dates are:

Saturday 10th November 2 pm – 5 pm

Sunday 11th November 12 pm – 5 pm

Monday12th November 11 am – 5pm

Tuesday 13th November 11 am – 5 pm

At  Pirzwell Studio, Pirzwell St John, Kentisbear. For further information please contact  Clare Schmidt-Norris at csn.art@tiscali.co.uk
