Want to cook a fantastic meal for your loved ones or a group of friends? Then we’ve got just the event and menu for you!
On 15 October we’d like as many people as possible in Devon cooking up a storm with Devon’s Great Big Dinner Party. The best thing is you get to choose where you dine and who you invite!
Recipes have been provided by some of the best known Devon based chefs in the country being Mitch Tonks, Peter Gorton and the Tanner Brothers, James and Chris.

It’s very easy to take part in this event – you just need to get hold of one of our event packs, which include a menu, recipe sheets and invitations to send to your friends and family. Mitch from Seahorse in Dartmouth has provided the starter of mussels with bay and chilli, Peter has produced a vegetarian main course of herb crepes with sweet potato, goats cheese and a tomato saffron sauce and the all important dessert of crème brulee with exotic fruit dice, whilst James and Chris Tanner have devised a main course of ‘Maple baked’ Pork loin with black pudding, apple mash and cider sauce.
We are really looking forward to this event. Our menu has been devised especially to be able to use seasonal and mainly locally sourced produce, so that not only can we have a great evening, with good company and great food, but we can celebrate all that is good in Devon.
We really want to try and set a new record for fine dining by getting as many people as possible to sit down to dinner together all over Devon on the evening.
The charity is also hoping that many restaurants, pubs and hotels will also add the menu to their own for the evening, and help the Appeal, by donating back a % and encouraging their guests to make a donation as well.
